Samsung memperkenalkan handset Android terbaru dalam lini Galaxy, yakni i9000 Galaxy S. Mengadopsi Android versi 2.1, layar Galaxy S yang selebar 4 inch menampilkan teknologi super AMOLED.
Teknologi ini dijanjikan membuat layar lebih terang dan tajam, namun asupan baterai justru lebih hemat sedangkan kekuatan prosesornya yakni 1GHz. Memori internal sebesar 16GB masih ditambahi slot microSD sampai 32GB.

Kamera Galaxy S juga sudah terhitung mumpuni untuk kategori smartphone, berkemampuan 5 megapiksel. Ponsel ini juga punya kemampuan memutar video HD dengan resolusi 720p.

Sayangnya belum disebutkan kisaran harga ponsel yang rencananya dipasarkan mulai bulan Juni. Namun dengan spesifikasi di atas rata-rata, diprediksi harganya juga cukup mahal. Galaxy S awalnya akan dipasarkan di Amerika Serikat sebelum menyambangi berbagai belahan dunia.
